With limited resources on our planet, we believe in doing waste management the WRITE way—turning discarded materials back into valuable resources and keeping them out of landfills. From a simple idea to
sustainable impact
The story of WRITE Solutions began in 2017 over a simple cup of coffee in a Perth café, where founders Robert Dubé and Daragh Maher shared a common vision: to reduce the amount of recyclable waste ending up in landfills. Both had worked in waste management and were frustrated by the limited options for sustainably handling organic and coffee waste from local businesses. After talking with community groups, schools, and local businesses eager to manage their waste responsibly, they knew their vision had a purpose and a market. And so, WRITE (Waste-Recycle-Innovation-Technology-Environment) Solutions was born. Today, we remain committed to diverting 80% of waste from landfills by offering customized, sustainable waste solutions tailored to each client’s needs. Our journey continues as we help businesses make a positive environmental impact by doing the RIGHT thing the WRITE way.

Meet the people behind WRITE Solutions
Our team is passionate about sustainability and innovation in waste management. Together, we’re committed to helping businesses and communities make a positive environmental impact.
Rob is originally from Canada but is now a true-blue Aussie after migrating here in 1997.
He has used his business knowledge in several environmentally sustainable companies and waste management services for over a decade.
Rob is a member of the Waste and Recycling Industry of Western Australia (WRIWA) and the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR). He also sits on the panel for the FOGO Reference Group which provides advice to the Waste Authority of WA and he is a panel member for the Common Use Agreement for Government bodies within Western Australia.
Rob always strives to reduce a client’s impact on the environment and minimize their costs by improving recovery of waste and diverting at least 80% of all waste from landfill wherever possible.
His goal is to get more people on board the organic revolution. He even got his two sons involved in the business at an early age to teach them the importance of recycling and sustainability. They help out in the factory diverting waste from landfill when they are not at university.
Just be aware when you meet Rob, he will always want to “talk rubbish”
Daragh is a diehard Irish Rugby fan who has been involved in the waste and recycling industry since 2011. Prior to WRITE Solutions Daragh worked within the waste equipment sector and ran his own consultancy business TTV Solutions. Within both roles he provided businesses with recycling and sustainable waste solutions to reduce costs and labour, increase recycling rates across WA as well as providing product recycling consultation for import salvage companies.
Daragh has a wealth of knowledge across most recycling streams and equipment, as well as a strong interest around organic waste – having researched and visited many organic composting and digester plants in Europe.
He has established various recycling collections for cardboard, PET, LDPE, HDPE and Bulka Bags which are taken to local manufacturers where possible – the overflow exported to other markets.
Daragh’s friendly smile lights up a stadium and he will instantly make you feel at ease with your waste requirements. His “can do” approach will help you navigate your business waste through a more sustainable process.
When he’s not at work you will find him cross country biking, hiking or watching his beloved Leinster rugby union team on TV.
